PTA Mission Statement
Positively impact the educational experience of NYSMS students
Provide educational enrichment through family participation
Create a partnership between students, teachers, administration and parents
To welcome families and teachers as partner members of our PTA community
To foster a supportive relationship between parents and school staff
To facilitate communications between school and family
To encourage families to volunteer time and resources to meet established goals
To raise funds to supplement school curriculum/enrichment
PTA membership is open to guardians and teachers of NYCMS students. Dues aren’t required, but donations (financial and/or in-kind) are sought to support academic enrichment goals.
The PTA asks all parents donate a suggested amount of $100 (or, whatever your family can afford), with the ultimate goal being 100% family participation.
This is an important time for your teen – okay, they’ll grumble, but your involvement is needed to support efforts of our hard working educators. Please make the time to join us.
